Full height plantation shutters cover the complete window opening in a single, continuous design. They can be configured with one or more panels and an optional mid rail, depending on the window dimensions, required louvre control and installation layout.

What is a full height shape shutter?
Firstly, full height style shutters are typical means of square-shaped window shutters. It is suitable for most of the decoration of windows nowadays in houses, besides, the louvres can move up and down, allowing you to control the sun lights in or out quickly. In addition, this type of shutter can be made in a foldable style with two or three panels folded when opening the window, saving the most significant room of your window area.
Do wooden shutters Open?
Yes, the full height style shutter can open or close quickly.Furthermore, you can open the panel just like a whole window, finally, a single board will open totally. In contrast, if you want to open more boards, you can choose to make foldable shutters, which will enable you to open or close two or three panels at one time. And then, if you prefer to separate the panels from up and down, then the tier-on-tier shutters will be the best option.
Should shutters be longer than window?
For the full height type shutters, firstly, there are usually two types of frames, one is L-shaped, and then, the other is Z shaped. Both of these frames were very popular. Secondly, when using a Z frame, the mounting method is inside, called Z frame inside mounting. Therefore, the shutter finished size will be around 2~5mm smaller than the window size. Equally important, If the frame is an L frame, it will have two mounting methods, inside and outside the window. In addition,If it is inside the window recess, then the shutter size is the same as the window size; if outside mounting, the shutter will be longer than the window.
